About The Collaborative

Originally established by founders Judith and Elliott Wolfe in 2017, for the purpose of engaging Master Degree candidates from the University of Southern California School of Social Work, working as interns, to provide mental health assistance and counseling to veteran students at College of the Canyons, it has today expanded to become an all-volunteer Public Benefit Corporation [501(c)3 tax deductible status] operating a complete Veteran Center, providing an array of referral resources for all veterans, active military, and their families.

The membership of the Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative consists of dozens of non-profit organizations, local businesses, and individuals, providing their services, much of it pro bono, to those veterans in the Santa Clarita community who have served their country, and may be in need of the many areas of assistance that are offered.

Browsing through our web site one can find help for medical assistance, dental assistance, legal assistance, employment, housing, home care, financial advice/assistance, and many other categories.

Our Veteran Center

At our Veteran Center, located at 23681 Newhall Ave, Unit 7, in Newhall, one can find, not only a food pantry, computers, a library, and videos, but a warm and friendly volunteer to brighten the day, and also offer complete referral resources to our many member organizations and individuals. The center is open Monday through Friday from 900AM-400PM.  On Tuesday, we have a PSO (Post Service Officer) available from 9:00AM until 12:00N who can assist with explaining the VA benefit process, but this PSO cannot execute documents.  Only a County Veteran Service Officer is authorized to execute documents.

Thursday of each week a Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN) specialist is in the Veteran Center from 9A-3P to assist with navigating the VA Benefit process.  A VSO is dedicated to the Santa Clarita Valley on Mondays from 8A-5P and is located at the LA County Community Center located at 26111 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91350 Tel: 661-254-0070
