Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative (“SCVSC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a California nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting veterans, service members, their families, and others in the veteran community with services, resources, assistance, and support.

We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect through our website and in connection with requests initiated through our website, how we may use and disclose that information, and the choices available to you.

  • Veterans Peer Access Network (VPAN);
  • Federal, state, county, or local government agencies;
  • Veteran service organizations;
  • Nonprofit and charitable organizations;
  • Housing and homelessness assistance organizations;
  • Employment and vocational resources;
  • Benefits and claims assistance organizations;
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, or wellness resources; and
  • Other community organizations and service providers.

The information initially submitted through our website may not contain all of the information necessary to obtain assistance from another organization.

When additional information is necessary, SCVSC may communicate with you to better understand your needs and obtain information needed to help coordinate an appropriate service, resource, or referral.

When appropriate to assist with your request, relevant information may be communicated to an organization or service provider involved in providing or coordinating the requested assistance.

We seek to limit such disclosures to information reasonably relevant to facilitating the requested assistance, service, referral, or connection.

SCVSC does not provide personal information to these organizations for their own unrelated marketing or advertising purposes.

7. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative does not sell your personal information.

We also do not provide personal information submitted to us to third parties for their own unrelated marketing or advertising purposes.

This does not prevent us from using service providers that perform necessary functions on our behalf or from working with organizations involved in providing or coordinating services or assistance you have requested.

For example, third-party providers may assist us with website hosting, website analytics, security and spam prevention, payment processing, technology support, or other operational functions.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, court order, or governmental request, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of SCVSC, the individuals we serve, our website visitors, or others.

8. Donations and PayPal

If you make a donation or payment through our website, the transaction is processed through PayPal.

PayPal may collect personal, financial, and transaction information necessary to process your payment, prevent fraud, comply with applicable laws, and provide its payment services.

Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborative is a California nonprofit organization.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) generally applies to certain for-profit businesses meeting statutory requirements and generally does not apply to nonprofit organizations.
